HEADS-UP SUMMARY
This is a legally binding contract between you and Stobi Storage Inc. (d/b/a Tentiful). By using our app to list or book remote, unmanaged backcountry campsites in British Columbia, you agree to these rules. We are a marketplace platform, not a tour guide, campground operator, or insurer. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Backcountry Risks & Mandatory Safety Equipment
Backcountry camping in British Columbia involves inherent hazards, including extreme weather, wildlife encounters, rugged terrain, and a total lack of cell service or immediate emergency services.
CRITICAL SAFETY MANDATE:
The Tentiful app is not a safety device. All guests are required to carry an independent satellite communicator (e.g., Garmin inReach, ZOLEO) with an active subscription. You must never rely solely on Tentiful for your safety.
2. Public Data & No-Warranty Disclaimer
All data, emergency alerts, trail maps, and AI-generated assessments are provided "as-is." Tentiful does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Alerts may fail due to network limitations. You are responsible for independently verifying conditions through official Government of BC channels.
3. Liability Waiver
By using Tentiful, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with backcountry camping and agree to release Stobi Storage Inc., its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims arising from injury, death, property damage, or data failures. Tentiful is a platform provider only — we do not own, manage, or inspect any listed campsite.
4. Privacy (PIPEDA)
Tentiful collects only the information necessary to operate: account details, location data (fuzzed coordinates), government ID (via Stripe Identity), and communications. We do not sell your data. Location coordinates are fuzzed with 3.2km privacy circles. Full policy available in the app.
5. Dispute Resolution
All disputes governed by BC law. Binding arbitration through the Vancouver International Arbitration Centre. No class actions.
